Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi → Amboseli National Park
Your driver-guide will pick you up in Nairobi early in the morning.
As you leave the city, the road opens up into beautiful savannah countryside — passing local markets, Maasai homesteads, and the open plains of Kajiado County.
You’ll stop briefly along the way for refreshments or photo opportunities, then continue to Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge or tented camp.
In the afternoon, set off on your first thrilling game drive inside Amboseli National Park. This is the perfect introduction — vast open plains dotted with acacias and the silhouettes of elephants walking beneath the mountain.
Return to camp as the sun sets over Kilimanjaro.
Meals included: Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Amboseli Lodge / Tented Camp
Day 2: Full-Day Game Viewing in Amboseli
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active and the mountain’s snowy peak is often visible in the morning light.
Watch elephants feeding in the marshes, spot lions lounging in the grass, and enjoy the sight of giraffes and zebras moving across the plains.
Return for a leisurely breakfast and relax at the lodge — perhaps take a swim or enjoy views from your verandah.
After lunch, head out again for an afternoon game drive through Amboseli’s wetlands and observation points. With luck, you might see cheetahs, buffalo, hippos, and a dazzling array of birds such as flamingos and crowned cranes.
As evening falls, enjoy a sundowner drink and later a candlelit dinner under the African sky.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Overnight: Amboseli Lodge / Tented Camp
Day 3: Amboseli → Nairobi
Enjoy your final early-morning game drive, soaking in the calm of the park and perhaps catching a last glimpse of Kilimanjaro’s peak before clouds drift in.
After breakfast, check out and begin your scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving by mid-afternoon. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport in time for your onward travel.

A road safari lets you see more of Kenya — the changing landscapes, rural villages, and everyday life along the way.
You can stop for photos, chat with your guide, and enjoy the gradual transition from city to savannah. It’s perfect for travelers who want a hands-on, immersive experience rather than flying over it all.
And once inside Amboseli, your 4×4 vehicle gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace, following the wildlife wherever it leads.
